Welcome to the Railway Inn

Situated on the main street of Sallins between the two bridges, being only a 3 minute walk to Sallins & Naas train station and a short stroll from the Grand Canal greenway, the Railway Inn is the ideal meeting point for locals and visitors alike.

Trading continuously as a public house since 1837 and therefore steeped in local history, the family run Railway Inn is an authentic traditional bar which retains all of its old world character and ambiance within comfortable and modern surroundings. Since acquiring it in 1977, the current owners have carefully curated the premises with interesting items to satisfy the curiosity of both local history and railway enthusiasts alike. Check out the history wall on your visit to learn a little more about the history of the pub and Sallins village.

With friendly staff and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the pub is renowned for consistently selling the very best draught Guinness in the area. Along with a wide offering of beers, spirits, wines, cocktails, non alcoholic drinks, hot beverages and cold bar snacks, there’s also a fully stocked off-licence, ensuring that the Railway Inn has something to offer everyone.

For the sports lover, all major sporting fixtures are shown across all the big screens, which complete with surround sound, ensures that customers don’t miss any of the excitement of major soccer, rugby, GAA, boxing, golf or racing fixtures.  A small smoking area to the rear of the premises provides additional outdoor space.

Combined with live music nights in the lounge the Railway Inn really is the perfect spot to host your family gathering or get together with friends. We hope to see you soon!
